Effective date: September 1, 2026. This policy explains what Kojac Baby collects, why, and the choices you have. It is a working template and should be reviewed by legal counsel before launch.
When you join our mailing list or use the benefit finder, we collect the information you give us directly: your name and email address, and the intake answers you provide — ZIP code, state, due date, income range, household size, and whether you're a first-time parent. Like most websites, we also receive basic technical data when you visit, such as your browser type and pages viewed.
Your intake answers are used for one thing: generating your personalized benefit matches. Your name and email are used to send you the mailing list you signed up for — benefit reminders, deadline alerts, and program updates. We also use aggregate, de-identified usage information to understand which programs families look for and to improve the product.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your individual profile, intake answers, or contact details with sponsors, advertisers, health plans, or any other partner. The only reporting partners ever receive is aggregate and de-identified — for example, how many families in a county viewed a program category — never anything that identifies you.
Some intake answers touch on pregnancy, such as your due date. Kojac Baby is an informational matching tool, not a healthcare provider or health plan, and is not a covered entity under HIPAA. We still treat this information as sensitive: it is used only to match you with benefits and is never shared with third parties in identifiable form. Do not use Kojac Baby to seek medical advice.
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working (for example, remembering your intake progress during a session) and to understand overall site traffic. You can set your browser to refuse cookies; the benefit finder may not save your progress between pages if you do.
We keep your mailing-list and intake information for as long as your signup is active. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message, and you can request full deletion of your information — including stored intake answers — by emailing privacy@kojacbaby.com. We process deletion requests within 30 days.
Kojac Baby is designed for parents and guardians. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we will notify mailing-list subscribers by email. Questions about this policy or your data: privacy@kojacbaby.com.
